To check if your service is covered by Original Medicare and.or what your cost may be, go to this page: http://medicare.gov/coverage

How do I know if I’m eligible for Medicare enrollment?

Initial Enrollment Period
- This seven-month period begins three months before the month you turn 65 and includes the month of your 65th birthday and the three months after. There are no penalties for signing up during this time.
Special Enrollment Period(s)
- This period is available after you turn 65 if you were covered by an employer group health plan. There are no penalties for signing up or adding Part B during this time. Other SEPs may be available contact us to see if you qualify for a SEP
Annual Enrollment Period
- Annual Enrollment Period from October 15 to December 7 each year. During this period, you can make changes to your Medicare health plans and prescription drug coverage for the following year

What are the parts of Medicare?

Part A (Hospital Insurance)

Covers inpatient hospital care, skilled nursing facility care, hospice care, and home health care

Part B (Medical Insurance)

Covers outpatient hospital care, services from doctors and other health care providers, home health care, durable medical equipment, and some preventive services

Part C (Medicare Advantage)

An alternative to Original Medicare that offers health and drug coverage from a private company. Part C plans often include prescription drug coverage, dental coverage, vision coverage, and hearing coverage.

Part D (Medicare Drug Coverage)

A separate drug plan that provides prescription drug coverage

You can also purchase supplemental coverage, such as Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap), to help pay your share of costs for Part A and Part B services.

What is Medicare Part D Low Income Subsidy (LIS) also called “Extra Help” and how do I know if I qualify?

What vaccines are covered by Medicare?

Part B covers:

Influenza (flu) shots, including both the seasonal flu vaccine and the H1NI (swine flu) vaccine
Pneumococcal (pneumonia) shots
Hepatitis B shots
COVID-19 vaccine

Part D covers:

as of January 1, 2023, your Medicare Part D drug plan now covers most vaccines at no cost to you. All adult vaccines recommended by the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices are now covered with no out-of-pocket costs. Your Medicare drug plan won't charge you a copayment or apply a deductible for vaccines you get for things like shingles, whooping cough, tetanus, and more.
